Talents and Hobbies

DollsBears.jpg

Learning from a teacher in Hemet, Linda made over 30 porcelain dolls in about eight years.
She made the dolls "from scratch," doing all the painting, etc., and all the sewing.

Top Picture:  The red doll is Rosanda, made from scraps from her daughter Donna's bridesmaid dresses.
Hilary is dressed in blue Dupioni silk and is Bruce's favorite.
The third one was made from a Bru mold, a famous French doll-maker.
The 16" Mein Liebling, dressed in ivory silk charmeuse, was a gift to Linda's mother, Ethel.

Bottom Picture:  The tall (28") Bru in the back is one of Linda's favorites, as is the smaller Bru next to the green-clad Samantha, who is one of her mother's favorites.
There are two Mein Lieblings in the middle--in the pink dress with blond hair and in the deep red dress.
The baby is Sugar Britches and is dressed in white China silk.
